What is CrushVCE?
Hi! My name is George Zonnios, and I've taught VCE Maths Methods, Physics, and Chemistry, in a variety of Melbourne-based schools since 2013.
I started CrushVCE to help students overcome their fear of complexity, by learning how to solve challenging problems through clear, structured thinking. I believe these skills are invaluable for any kind of challenging career they might pursue.
Over the years, I've noticed that the rigid approaches of many schools and tutoring centres either leave students behind, or hold them back from their potential. That's why I've designed CrushVCE to cater to different levels, paced according to their needs and ability.
Our tutors take extra care to know exactly how you're performing, constantly analysing and keeping you updated on strengths, weaknesses, and weekly progress.
At CrushVCE, we recognize that while strong mathematical knowledge is certainly important for achieving high study scores, other factors get routinely ignored, with students left to figure it out on their own.
Things like study skills, habits and mindset can make a massive impact on a student's ability to stay focused and committed through the long two-year journey that is VCE.
Similarly, having a good approach to exam preparation, and time management within SACs and exams can get the same student to a completely different score at the end of the course.
That's why, in addition to explaining key mathematical concepts in a simple way, we actively support our students to develop great study habits that will help them get the highest possible score.
How does the program work?
We take a comprehensive approach to supporting you throughout each school term, including:
- 10 weekly problem solving classes. These are the perfect way to master key skills and concepts for your VCE unit, and practice them with the help of an expert tutor. Everything is personalised and paced exactly to your needs at all times.
- Exclusive revision software. There are hundreds of little concepts and skills to master in the course. Our software helps you regularly practice all of them to keep your skills fresh throughout the year.
- Fortnightly 1-on-1 session. These 45 minute online check-ins ensure that you're getting the most out of the longer sessions as well as helping with any challenges that require extra attention.
- Homework help service. Send up to 3 questions every week so that you never get stuck or feel unsupported between sessions.
